The Murrayville Cricket Club has been in existence since early 1920’s when it played against teams between Murrayville and Underbool.  In 1932, the MCC decided to join the Pinnaroo and Border Association where it has been a member ever since.  Cricket was suspended at the end of 1940 due to world War II and did not resume until 1944.

Cricket has always been a significant part of the sporting life in the community and for many years has fielded a two senior teams and one junior team. In the 2013/14 season, Murrayville has one senior side and play against the sides of Pinnaroo, Lameroo, Parilla, Perponda and Parakee.  For the first time in 5 years they have once again fielded a colts team.

The following members have been granted a life membership in recognition of their services and support: W. H. Kruse, Nelson Peers, Brian Purdue, Don McLean, Des Menzel, Keith Lester and Robert Lester.

We believe that sport has always been an important part of our life in Murrayville and is one of the main social fabrics that keeps our community together. The following clubs rely heavily on the work of volunteers to give our residents a favourite pastime to play all throughout the year.
